Born in Portland, Tennessee, grew up in Nashville, and moved to Woodville 22 years ago.
When I graduated from high school, I attended Tennessee Tech, where I earned my bachelor's in Nuclear Engineering. Then, I went on to attend the University of Findlay, where I earned my master's in Environmental Management/Industrial Safety.
After that, I worked for the government for 41 years, once I retired, I worked for a government contractor for ​6 1/2 years.

I married Pam Batson in 1975, we have 12 children, and 14 grandchildren. We have 6 children that attended Woodville high school and 5 grandchildren in attendance now.

Darin Geiger
Mayor Pro Tempore
Born in Lincoln, Nebraska and a resident of Woodville since 1996. Darin and Melanie are the parents to 3 great kids and 5 grandchildren. US Army 101st Airborne/Air Assault Veteran.
Masters in clinical psychology and a certified addictions counselor, having provided mental health and substance abuse services to adolescents and adults since 1991. Served as a city councilman since 2014.

My name is Melanie Allen, and I have been a council member since May 2021. I am a graduate of Woodville High School, and I have a Bachelors degree from Faulkner University in Human Resource Management. I am the owner and operator of a shirt and tumbler design business named Coco’s Designs.
