Our Story
The Woodville Public Library was established in October of 1984 and has been in its current building since 1989.
The library is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Meet The Librarian and Library Board Members
Library Director
My name is Alyssa Cosby, and I have been the Library Director since September of 2021.
I have my MLIS that I received from the University of Kentucky in 2024 and my BS in Criminal Justice from APLS that I received in 2019. I am Class of 2014 Woodville Alum, as well as an original senior and Founder of Panthers Always Living Strong (P.A.L.S.).
I have lived in Woodville for the majority of my life, and I am happy to be able to work in the community and connect with everyone here.
Board Chair
My name is Beverly Cosby. I have been on the library board in various capacities since 2017, serving first as a member, then vice-president, and now president since 2019. I am also the Manager of Woodville's Dollar General, where I have worked for eight years though I have been with the company since 2000.
The Town of Woodville has been my home since 1987, and I love the community here. Working with the library to help it host its many fundraisers and programs throughout the year is something I greatly enjoy doing.

My name is Savannah Taylor. I have been a resident of Woodville for most my life. I graduated from Woodville High School where I met my husband of sixteen years, Timon Taylor. We have three amazing kids, Jayse, Anniston and Oakley. I have been a part of the Woodville Public Library Board for three years. During that time, I have held the position of Secretary, and I am currently the Vice President.
My name is Savanna Baker-Cooper. Upon graduating from Woodville High School in 2014, I moved to Madison, Al and began a career in pharmacy while attending Calhoun Community College.
My husband, Cory, and I moved back to Woodville in 2019 and started a logistics business. Then, in late 2022, we welcomed our first born, Bentlee Van, into the world.
I started my role on the public library board during the summer of 2022 and have loved every moment of it, especially getting to see how much thought has gone into helping our community.
